Nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, the courses are situated just miles from Red Lodge Mountain Ski Resort. Mature cottonwood and poplar trees were left untouched, enhancing the beauty and challenge of the layout. The design also utilizes the property's numerous ponds and streams that wind through the course and frequently come into play. Although the fairways are forgiving, there is little margin for error due to the thick, hayfield rough, and the short game will definitely be tested by the small, firm greens.
Red Lodge Mountain Golf Course was masterfully designed by Bob Baldock, situated at an elevation of 5,555 feet. The course's signature hole is #6, a 238-yard, par 3, featuring a 150-foot drop off the tee. This magnificent hole plays to an immaculate island green encircled by a small fringe or rough. The rustic beauty and challenge of this course combine to make it eighteen holes of pure pleasure. The season runs from mid-April into October.
