Grizzly Peak Snowmobile Hillclimb Championship
Special Note: This event has not been held the past few years. With no plans to continue hosting the event in the future the information below is history on past events.
If you have never seen a snowmobile hill climb, you are in for a treat. Watch experienced riders wrestle their machines up a steep challenging course. Crowds always go wild at this event.
Every year the Grizzly Peak Snowmobile Hillclimb Championship marks the end of the racing season for the Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hillclimb Association. In late April, many snowmobile enthusiasts gather at the base of Red Lodge Mountain Resort to cheer on the mountain races. Spectators can watch from the base and from the Midway Lodge.
Because Red Lodge Mountain is at a much higher elevation and is longer than other courses, snowmobile riders are presented with some interesting challenges. Snowmobile riders start at a little over 7,000 feet at the base and ride up through Showoff Alley, Lower and Upper Limited, Thompson's, and finally Second Street to reach the Grizzly Peak summit at 9,416 feet. Don't miss out on this exciting event in Red Lodge, Montana.
